Fremont Kitchen Soapstone Countertops
This Fremont home has a unique blend of Spyder soapstone, a custom backsplash, and a copper farmhouse sink to make a timeless look in their kitchen. They started with choosing one of the hardest and darkest varieties of soapstone. When you first oil Spyder soapstone, it has a green tint with black veining. The more you oil, the darker the countertop surface you will have. They created a contrast between the walls and their counters by using a custom tile backsplash. By adding the three window sills above the sink, they drew attention to the unique copper sink and faucet by blending the colors together. This Fremont project was done with a dark stained cabinetry and a hidden support system for their peninsula.
